Meet Tim: The Heart Behind Coradventure

Hello! I'm Tim, the founder of Coradventure, where the pulse of adventure meets the heart ('corazón' in Spanish). My kiteboarding journey and passion for vibrant cultures inspired me to create a company that blends high-flying kiteboarding experiences with rich cultural explorations.

My adventure began in 2016 on the breezy shores of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where I first took up kiteboarding at the age of 18. The thrill of the sport quickly captivated me, and it wasn’t long before I continued my quest for mastery in Minnesota, taking lessons from Mike at Lakawa Kiteboarding. My skills truly took flight during an annual kite trip to South Padre Island, Texas, with the Lakawa crew in SPI, where I became utterly addicted to the sport.

After a few months of Snow kiting, I returned to South Padre Island where I took an instructor course with Prokite South Padre and achieved my IKO certification. This certification kicked off my career in kiteboarding instruction, starting with Prokite South Padre. My teaching journey didn’t stop at the shores of Texas; each summer, I ventured to Hood River, Oregon, where I taught for Cascade Kiteboarding. By fall, I would return to South Padre, only to set off for my winter destinations afterward, which varied from the windswept beaches of Cape Town, South Africa, to the vibrant kite scenes of Mexico in places like Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, La Ventana, and Holbox. Any free time heading to Brazil for epic flat water!

One particularly transformative Year, I worked as a Tech Rep for Eleveight USA, traveling across Florida, Texas, Michigan, and Oregon. Living out of a van, I demonstrated products and connected with kiteboarding communities, enriching my understanding of the sport and its diverse appeal.

After about a year on the road, I returned to South Padre Island, where the idea for Coradventure was born. I envisioned a company that would combine my expertise in kiteboarding instruction with my love for travel, food, cultural experiences, dancing, and nightlife. Coradventure is about more than just kiteboarding; it’s about pushing boundaries, stepping out of comfort zones, and embracing the fullness of life's adventures.

Through Coradventure, I aim to share not only the exhilaration of kiteboarding but also the joy of discovery and connection. Whether it’s dancing the night away in a bustling city, savoring local cuisines, or catching the perfect wind, each adventure is a heartbeat, each experience a new rhythm to explore.
