Our Kite Camp Adventure in Brazil

A look back at a previous Coradventure Brazil kite camp, followed by practical questions for planning a future trip.

A camp from our travel archive

On a previous Brazil kite camp, our team of nine adventurers explored the coast through four destinations. This is a retrospective of that trip, not an announcement that the same camp is running this month.

Our route began in Cumbuco and continued through the Jericoacoara area and Barra Grande, finishing at Ilha do Guajiru. We traveled in two 4×4 pickup trucks, visiting dunes and lagoons along the way. Each stop brought a different setting for riding and time with the group.

The rhythm of a day on the trip

Mornings began with coffee, fresh fruit, and cake, followed by a conversation about the day ahead. On riding days we prepared our gear and headed to the selected spot as conditions allowed. The winds we experienced on that trip are part of the memory, rather than a forecast for a future departure.

Between sessions and transfers, the trip became as much about people as kiteboarding. We shared meals and stories, compared favorite moments, and got to know each other as the route unfolded.

Riding toward sunset was one of the memorable experiences. The journey back to town and dinner together gave us time to enjoy the day after putting our equipment away. Those shared moments are part of what made the camp special.

What this story can help you plan

A multi-stop route gives a group variety, but it also requires time for transfers and equipment handling. Before choosing one, ask how often lodging changes, how your kite bag travels, what a transfer day looks like, and how the route responds to weather or water conditions.

Talk openly about your riding experience. A group itinerary, guided downwinder, and beginner lesson are different arrangements. Ask whether teaching, support vehicles, and recovery arrangements are offered and included for the specific departure; the vehicles in this story are not a promise about another trip.
